I have been taking pictures in Hackney, East London, for twenty years and have seen a lot of changes in that time, some good, some bad.

Every now and again, a project comes along that absolutely makes my heart sing and I am so proud to have had the opportunity to photograph these members of Hackney Circle - a creative community for older residents. Many of them turned up so resplendently, dressed to elegantly it felt like I was photographing a glamorous event on a red carpet at times! Each person bought such positive energy and good vibes - I don’t often leave a job with such a big smile on my face and I’m really grateful to have been involved.
